Role Definition
An Installation Engineer is required as part of the Naval and Marine Operation Team in UK to support our client\βs activities worldwide on different projects and provide technical leadership within the naval and marine operation discipline.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
β Supporting follow-up, engineering review and monitoring of currently ongoing projects for new floating LNG facilities, FPSO, fixed platforms, pipelines, umbilicals, flexible lines and subsea structures T&I activities.
β Preparation of T&I Scope of Works, Technical specifications for Installation and Pre-commissioning, External Interface and Responsibility Matrix, Installation Schedules for fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, floaters and subsea structures installation.
β Identification of marine spread minimum requirements for a successful and safe installation of offshore structures.
β Preparation of installation outline procedures to be provided as reference for T&I Tenderers for technical and commercial quotation.
β Monitoring, follow-on and review of execution projects installation engineering.
β Aiding the Company during Technical Clarification meetings, projects HAZID, Offshore Site Queries and Offshore Management of Change.
Qualification
β Candidate must have specific skills sets in the offshore installation engineering, in particular relevant to the design and follow-up of installation engineering documentation such as load-out, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-up of fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, subsea structures and floaters (FPSO, FLNG, etcβ¦).
β High knowledge in technologies, vessels and equipment used for loading, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-up of subsea and offshore structures is required.
β Candidate must have high skills and experience on preparation and review of T&I ITT packages, manage technical clarification with installation bidders and preparation of Tender Bidder Evaluations.
β Knowledge of offshore installation international Rules, e.g. DNV, IMCA, etcβ¦ as applicable to installation of offshore structures is required for this position.
β Significant experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPCI of T&I projects and ability to interface with other disciplines such as naval, structural, construction & commissioning disciplines would be a major advantage for this position.
β Seagoing experience as Installation Contractor Project Operation Engineer and/or Company Representative for the offshore installation and pre-commissioning of fixed platform, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO, FLNG and subsea structures.
β Yard experience in offshore structures preparation for the installation, mechanical completion and load-out would be a major advantage for this position.
β Experience in active participation on projectβs HAZID is required.
β OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable.
Conditions
We operate a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
