Our client, which is wholly owned by a global energy company, performs a key role developing projects and providing expert engineering support to businesses worldwide.
The company has an integrated operation office in the UK in Basingstoke, and is currently helping to lead in the energy transition from traditional business areas with decarbonised solutions such as CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) to innovative project such as renewables, hydrogen, etc.

SmartWorking (Hybrid Working)
Our client operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure UK location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
Description of Project/Role and Main Responsibilities
A Senior Weight Control Engineer is required as part of the Basingstoke technical team, to support ENI’s engineering activities on existing and new offshore structure projects, both for conventional Oil & Gas, renewable and carbon capture initiatives.
The candidate will be a valuable resource on the Projects for the definition and monitoring of weight for offshore facilities, including but not limited to being responsible for the compilation of weight control reports and weight control database of jacket, deck and foundation systems. They will work on all design phases and will work on both greenfield and brownfield developments.
Candidate’s qualifications, professional experience and skills required for the position
- Candidate must be highly experienced om weight control activities in all design conditions, and conversant with the principal design codes and standards (ISO 19901-5).
- Being familiar with weight trends and weight typical expected values and being conversant with other disciplines standards and design processes would be a major advantage for this position.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment and dealing with various internal and external stakeholders would also be advantageous.
