Role Definition
Aventa is seeking, on behalf of our client—a leading developer in the offshore renewable energy sector—a Control Engineer via Authorised Person to join their Engineering Department for Operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled engineers contributing to one of the most significant offshore wind developments in the region.
Overview of the situation
Currently in Orsted the only route to Control Engineer is via Authorised Person and Senior Authorised Person. As the Control Room is moving away from the execution team where the AP/ SAPs are located, this is causing a bottle neck in the development path and restricting direct authorisation as a Control Engineer
Goal
Update the Orsted Electrical Safety Rules to include a training and authorisation plan to allow direct authorisation as a Control Engineer
Scope of Work
We need an electrical safety consultant (Supported by current Orsted team) to review the current Orsted Electrical Safety Rules and provide a draft update which will contain >
– Training plan to become a Control Engineer (Not inclusive of AP and SAP)
– Authorisation requirements to become a Control Engineer
Timeline
– Complete by December 2025 – 7.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday
Location
Remote work is ok but visits to the office (LA14 2GR) will be required
