Role Definition
β Leading the offshore design team and providing guidance on how to perform Marine Systems design.
β Setting up internal workflow for assigned Projects and planning the teamβs activities accordingly.
β Studying and defining the best technical solutions for Marine Systems
β Reviewing technical documentation produced by the team before the issuance.
β Teamwork and collaboration with immediate and wider teams.
β Liaising with other disciplines during project execution.
β Awareness of pipeline design standards requirements and correct application of Company HSEQ policies.
β Awareness of naval and Structural interfaces with the marine systems.
β Reviewing project documentations provided by contractors/Shipyards
Qualification
β Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline such as mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (with focus on Marine Systems)
β Candidate must be highly experienced with the writing of technical specifications and functional requirements for the marine systems in FPSO and FLNG, during the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution on FPSO/FLNG projects.
β Specific skill sets in the design of cargo loading, storage and offtake systems, slop and drain systems, bilge and ballast systems, Inert Gas, production distribution and venting, diesel power generation and their auxiliary systems, freshwater production, compressed air, etc.
β Knowledge of Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL as applicable to FPSO and FLNG would be a major advantage for this position.
β Experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPC LNG projects, Seagoing experience as second/chief engineer, experience in working with Oil Tankers/ LNG Carriers, experience as a Classification Society, surveyor or Tanker/LNG Ship Vetting engineer, OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable to cover this position.
Conditions
We operate a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
