Role summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental Manager to oversee our UK project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all environmental policies and regulations are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a proactive approach to managing environmental risks and promoting sustainability practices within the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards in the UK. Keep abreast of changes in legislation and assess their impact on the project.
- Environmental Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and risk assessments to identify potential environmental risks associated with project activities.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Promote sustainable practices across the project, including waste reduction, resource efficiency, and energy management.
