SmartWorking (Hybrid Working)
Our client operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure UK location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
Description of Project/Role and Main Responsibilities
A Senior Process Engineer is required to be involved on various projects, supporting the Project Discipline Lead Engineer on larger projects or act as a Project Discipline Lead Engineer on smaller projects. Projects will vary from Feasibility phase through Basic Design and FEED. Projects can be relevant to onshore/offshore oil/gas production facilities, with special focus on LNG and renewables production facilities. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working autonomously to deliver a specific scope of work.
- Debottlenecking of existing facilities and coordinating the production of multi-discipline reports.
- Production and checking of standard process engineering deliverables according to Company and international standards.
- Follow-up of contractor activities, including checking of Contractor documentation in line with Company specifications, including but not limited to P&IDs, datasheets, and Design Basis documents.
- Liaise on technical activities with team members across multiple geographical locations.
- The candidate shall be prepared to travel, both domestically and internationally as needed, to participate in project review activities.
Candidate's qualifications, professional experience and skills required for the position
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering.
- Certified by a professional institute, chartered engineering with the Institute of Chemical Engineers is preferred.
- Experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPC projects for Oil and Gas Processing facilities.
- High degree of technical autonomy.
- Driven and able to work with a high level of autonomy on assigned tasks.
- Experience using HYSYS simulation would be advantageous.
- Ideally have worked on projects from Feasibility phase through Basic Design and FEED to Detailed Design and Construction.
- Specific expertise in CCUS, LNG or Offshore technologies would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Eni tools and standards would represent a significant advantage for this position.
