Join a Leading AV Integration Specialist. Founded in 2000, Avensys has grown to become one of the South of England’s premier audio visual systems integration companies. We are renowned for delivering complex, cutting-edge AV solutions including control systems, video walls, digital signage, high-end projection, and video conferencing technologies.
As a result of continued success and expansion, we are now seeking a dedicated AV Engineer / Installer to join our dynamic and hardworking team. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to the delivery of innovative AV solutions for a wide range of corporate and commercial clients. You’ll work closely with our Project Managers to prepare, install, and commission high-performance AV systems to the highest standards.
In addition to installations, you (with your team) will also attend service calls to investigate and resolve issues for customers covered by Avensys Support & Maintenance Contracts, ensuring systems remain reliable and performing at their best.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated AV Installation Engineer to join our growing integration team. The primary focus of this role is to support Project Managers and Technicians in delivering high-quality audio visual solutions to our commercial and corporate clients. This position is ideal for individuals with experience as AV Engineers, Installation Engineers, Audio Visual Technicians, or similar technical AV roles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and the wider integration team to ensure installations are completed on time, following industry best practices and ISO standards.
- Take instruction from Project Managers while also demonstrating the ability to work independently on-site.
- Maintain high-quality installation standards, including:
- Neat and accurate cable routing and terminations
- Professional cable management
- Secure and precise equipment mounting
- Accurate labelling and marking of drawings and schematics
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Solid experience in rack building and pre-wiring for AV systems.
- Installation and configuration of UC solutions, including Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
- Competence in installing LED screens, video walls, flat panel displays, and projection systems.
- Installation and commissioning of AV control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Biamp).
- Setup and integration of audio systems, including Dante networks, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and processors.
- Skilled in structured cabling, including pulling, terminating, and testing audio/video, control, and network cabling.
- Comfortable working on construction sites, understanding site protocols and health & safety practices.
- Capable of undertaking manual handling tasks, including moving and lifting AV equipment as required.
