Responsibilities
- Cloud Strategy & Enterprise Transformation
- Define cloud transformation roadmaps, adoption frameworks, and business cases for GCP migration.
- Design scalable, secure and resilient GCP cloud architecture.
- Conduct cloud assessments, maturity evaluations, and TCO/ROI analysis for clients.
- Guide clients through modernization of legacy workloads into cloud-native architectures.
- Align technical decisions with business outcomes and long-term transformation goals.
- Architect end-to-end solutions using core GCP services across compute, networking, storage, data, security and application stack.
- Design scalable, secure multi-region and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Build enterprise cloud landing zones, network topologies, identity hierarchy, and governance models.
- Ensure architecture adheres to GCP best practices, Well-Architected Framework, and industry standards.
- Lead architecture for large-scale migrations using Migrate for Compute Engine, Database Migration Service, Transfer Services, and Anthos.
- Provide oversight to migration waves, cutover planning, operational readiness, and risk management.
- Lead modernization using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, and managed databases.
- Define rehost, replatform, refactor strategies for application and data migration.
- Architect microservices, event-driven and serverless patterns.
- Define cloud security models including IAM, VPC Service Controls, encryption, key management, and workload identity.
- Establish guardrails, governance policies, FinOps, and cost-optimization strategies.
- Support compliance initiatives for ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, PCI (as applicable).
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure proper implementation of the designed architecture.
- Enforce IaC and automation practices using Terraform, Deployment Manager, and CI/CD tooling.
- Advise teams on DevOps/SRE and CloudOps best practices.
- Promote standardized architecture patterns, reusable components, and reference solutions.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Github actions, including workflow automation and approval gates.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for C-suite, enterprise architects, and IT leadership.
- Drive end-to-end GCP cloud transformation engagements—assessment, migration, modernization, and optimization.
- Conduct architecture workshops, discovery sessions, and technical deep dives.
- Support pre-sales, solutioning, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Provide thought leadership and guide strategic decision-making during transformation engagements.
- Ability to communicate complex cloud concepts to C-level and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing experience in enterprise transformation programs.
- Ability to lead cross-functional architecture and engineering teams.
- Excellent presentation, documentation, and decision-making skills.
Required Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in GCP services including: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud IAM, Security Command Center, Cloud Armor.
- Strong experience designing cloud-native, containerized, and microservices-based solutions.
- Strong architectural background in distributed systems, networking, and security.
- Proficiency with IaC (Terraform preferred).
- Good understanding of DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD, SRE, and automated operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in IT services, system integration, or consulting environments.
- Certifications (preferred): Google Professional Cloud Architect (mandatory or highly preferred), Gen AI leader (good to have), Azure and AWS architecture and solution expert certifications (good to have).
- Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
