Responsibilities:
- Offer foundational technical support in infrastructure services, providing assistance in routine tasks.
- Assist with infrastructure projects and assignments.
- Participate in basic monitoring and routine troubleshooting of infrastructure systems.
- Collaborate with team members to address infrastructure challenges and daily operational tasks.
- Support the creation and maintenance of infrastructure documentation.
- Develop and improve technical skills through on-the-job experience.
- Show eagerness to learn and gain expertise in infrastructure services.
- Follow established best practices and standards in infrastructure service delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 1+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis.
- Proficiencies in data analysis and technical knowledge.
- A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology.
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Associate, are a plus.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage tickets, resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests.
- Analyze moderate to complex issues and take action to resolve, or route tickets to other IT resolver teams when necessary.
- Build, pre-stage, image and install PCs (desktops and laptops) and related hardware or software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end user hardware & software problems.
- Provide expert level support in troubleshooting desktop peripherals in the environment (mobile devices, peripherals, etc.).
- Process requests, e.g., user provisioning, video conference setup, support, and other requests.
- Create/review/retire documentation: Standard Operating Procedures and Processes for use by the Sompo Service Desk and IT desktop support teams and IT end user training content.
- Provide support to clients on software and hardware platforms.
- Provide support to facilitate/moderate, with host/schedulers, Webex Events/Webinars.
- Interface with vendors for service of PCs and related hardware.
- Escalate complex issues as defined in standard operating procedures.
- Maintain an accurate full office hardware inventory in our ITSM tool.
