Your role at a Glance: We are looking for an experienced Marketplace Trading Manager to own the end-to-end commercial performance of a portfolio of Home, Lifestyle & Personal Care brands across European marketplaces, with a focus on BOL.com, OTTO & Kaufland. This role combines strategic channel ownership with hands-on execution, ensuring strong revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Location & Flexibility: Full-time, permanent role based at our modern office in Holborn, London. 40 hours per week, 9am to 6pm with a one-hour lunch. This position is hybrid, with the expectation to go to the office 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trading & Commercial Ownership: Act as the single point of accountability for brand performance on BOL.com, owning P&L outcomes and driving cross-functional execution to deliver results. Manage day-to-day execution across listings, pricing, promotions, and availability. Monitor and optimise key commercial metrics, including revenue, CVR, traffic, keyword & category rank, review & ratings, and contribution margin. Analyse SKU and marketplace-level data (sales, CVR, traffic, keyword rankings, costs) to diagnose performance trends and translate insights into actions. Execute key trading moments, including product launches, promotions, and peak events (e.g. Prime Day, Black Friday). Deliver reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
  • Channel Strategy & Growth: Define and execute EU marketplace growth strategies tailored to each brand and market, delivered in line with each brand’s global, omnichannel strategy. Prioritise key growth levers to maximise performance (pricing, content, SEO, PPC, promotions, distribution). Own forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking for your brands.
  • Platform Execution & Optimisation: Ensure listings are optimised and compliant, maintaining high operational standards across catalogue, pricing, and account health. Proactively resolve issues such as listing suppressions, compliance risks, or negative customer trends. Identify performance improvement opportunities through testing and experimentation. Build and document best practices and playbooks to drive repeatable success. Stay up to date with platform developments, tools, and category trends. Manage Performance Marketing (PPC) aligning on strategy, budgets, and priorities to drive efficient growth, maximise total search visibility and protect margins.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with internal teams to deliver best-in-class execution: Brand & Creative: Optimise listings, content, and creative to improve CVR and brand positioning. Product Development: Translate customer insights and performance data into product improvements and innovation pipelines. Supply Chain: Ensure in-stock performance, optimal inventory levels, and readiness for key trading moments. Finance: Align on forecasting, profitability, and cost management.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • 4+ years of experience in eCommerce: hands-on ownership of brands on European marketplaces, ideally BOL.com, OTTO, Kaufland or Amazon.
  • Languages: fluent in English and German, Dutch would be a bonus.
  • Strong commercial acumen: understands how trading decisions impact revenue, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Highly analytical: able to interpret complex datasets and turn insights into action.
  • Ownership mindset: take full responsibility for brand performance and outcomes.
  • Execution-focused: able to move quickly from insight to action across multiple priorities.
