Help shape the future of AI assurance in financial services. Aveni is redefining how financial institutions use AI. We build real, production-ready agentic systems that reshape how banks, advisers and financial services firms operate, replacing fragmented processes with intelligent, end-to-end workflows. We’ve been recognised as Fintech of the Year for two consecutive years and awarded Best Specialist Technology Service at the Professional Adviser Awards 2025. Backed by leading investors and commercially supported by major financial institutions, we’re scaling quickly as adoption of AI in financial services accelerates.

Our platform helps some of the UK’s largest financial institutions deploy AI safely within FCA regulated environments, powering everything from compliance monitoring to AI-driven adviser guidance. We’re looking for a Product Manager to play a central role in Aveni’s Assurance portfolio: the products that help financial services firms govern, test and assure AI agents and human interactions across the customer journey.

The role will focus primarily on Agent Approve, Aveni’s pre-deployment simulation and testing product, with additional responsibility for Detect, our post-interaction compliance assessment product. Agent Approve is a growth-stage product operating in a fast-moving regulatory environment. You’ll own the product from discovery through to commercial readiness, helping define Aveni’s position in a rapidly emerging market.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership product role. You’ll work closely with the Head of Assurance Products on strategy and roadmap direction, while independently driving discovery, prioritisation, delivery and go-to-market readiness. You’ll partner with engineering, design, customer success, marketing and commercial teams to turn complex customer and regulatory problems into clear, valuable and shippable product outcomes.

You’ll be well suited to this role if you enjoy operating in ambiguity, can bring structure to complex problem spaces, and have the judgement to know what matters, what can wait, and what needs to be validated before we build.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll own the Agent Approve and Detect product roadmaps end to end, from problem discovery and opportunity sizing through to prioritisation, delivery and launch readiness.
  • You’ll lead continuous discovery with customers, prospects and internal stakeholders, building a sharp, evidence-based view of where the market is going and which problems most urgently need solving.
  • You’ll translate ideas and customer problems into low and high fidelity prototypes, helping validate assumptions early, reduce delivery risk and accelerate decision-making.
  • You’ll work closely with engineering and design to turn strategy into well-defined, executable delivery plans, maintaining a healthy, prioritised backlog and supporting squads through delivery.
  • You’ll build strong relationships across engineering, commercial, customer success and marketing, acting as a trusted voice on what we’re building, why it matters and how it supports Aveni’s broader Assurance portfolio.
  • You’ll stay close to industry trends, regulatory developments and competitor activity across financial services compliance, QA technology and AI assurance, ensuring product decisions are grounded in market context.
  • You’ll use data and metrics to inform prioritisation, define product KPIs and measure the success of the features and capabilities you ship.

What we’re looking for:

  • We’re looking for someone with a proven track record as a Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally with experience owning a roadmap from discovery through to delivery.
  • You’ll bring domain expertise in financial services, compliance, risk or regulatory technology, and demonstrable experience leading stakeholder discovery and translating insights into product strategy.
  • You’ll have strong product judgement, clear communication skills and the confidence to shape a problem space, define direction, defend prioritisation decisions and explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You’ll be analytically rigorous, comfortable using data to guide decisions, and capable of building trusted relationships with engineers, designers and senior commercial stakeholders.
  • We’re particularly interested in people who are self-directed, proactive and comfortable operating in early-stage or ambiguous product environments where the path is not yet fully defined.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with AI-powered products, analytics or model-driven tooling would be valuable, as would familiarity with FCA regulatory frameworks, Consumer Duty or conduct risk.
  • Exposure to pre-deployment testing, quality assurance or compliance workflows would also be useful.
  • Experience writing compelling product narratives for commercial or go-to-market purposes would be a plus, particularly given the growth-stage nature of Agent Approve.

Why join Aveni?

  • You’ll work on genuinely difficult and meaningful problems at the intersection of AI, regulation and financial services.
  • You’ll help shape a product category that is becoming increasingly important as financial institutions move from experimenting with AI to deploying it safely, responsibly and at scale.
  • You’ll have real ownership, visibility and the opportunity to influence both product direction and market positioning at an important stage of Aveni’s growth.

Benefits at Aveni:

  • Remote-first working across the UK.
  • Company wide offsites and regular in-person gatherings.
  • Work abroad policy.
  • Optional Personal Development Plan.
  • Flexible benefits platform, so you can choose the benefits that matter most to you.
  • Life insurance, income protection, critical illness cover and pension, with up to 5% matched employer contribution.
  • Private health and dental care.

At Aveni, we believe diversity drives innovation. We’ve built our business to ensure an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best work. If you’re passionate about technology and its ability to drive positive change for the future of financial services, we’d love to hear from you. Even if you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we’d still encourage you to apply if you believe you’d be a great fit.
