My client is a very successful alternative investment manager, the firm has a global reach and is experiencing continued growth. It is an excellent / pivotal time to join the firm.
This is a newly created senior hire that will sit in the cohesive team in London. Working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, the new team member will have a seat at the table with regular interaction with senior stakeholders. Your insights and input will help shape the compliance function and growing business as a whole.
The role will suit a strong buy side generalist with credit experience. Someone who is well-used to working with / advising the business and understanding new regulations / updating policies and procedures accordingly.
The successful incumbent will likely have the following profile:
- Generalist buy side compliance experience of 6-10 years (including business facing)
- Credit experience strongly preferred but some exposure from a broader asset management / hedge fund / private markets could be considered
- Sound knowledge of FCA, AIFMD and MiFID
- Proactive and organised with a roll-up-sleeves mentality and the ability to work concurrently on multiple work streams
- The ability to work unsupervised in a fast paced, dynamic environment is paramount
- Excellent communication and a can-do attitude
