This is a fantastic opportunity to join a topâtier buy side firm in an integral role within the Compliance team in London. The firm has a global reach and is experiencing continued success and growth.
The successful candidate will support the Chief Compliance Officer, assisting them and the growing business with all aspects of the compliance function, including:
- Act as a trusted compliance adviser to the front office, providing practical, commercial guidance on dayâtoâday regulatory and conduct matters
- Review and advise on trading activity, conflicts of interest, personal account dealing, gifts & hospitality, and information barriers
- Support the interpretation and implementation of new and evolving regulations, assessing impact and advising the business accordingly
- Assist with the development, maintenance and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures
- Partner with Legal, Risk and Operations on crossâfunctional matters, including new products, strategies, counterparties and structures
- Support regulatory interactions, including responding to FCA enquiries and assisting with regulatory filings where required
- Provide compliance input into projects, change initiatives and strategic developments
- Deliver targeted training and guidance to the business to promote a strong compliance culture
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a Compliance Advisory role within an asset manager, hedge fund or investment bank with knowledge of relevant regulations (AIFMD and MiFID II)
- Strong working knowledge of UK regulatory framework and FCA expectations
- Experience advising front office stakeholders in a practical, solutionsâfocused manner
- Ability to balance regulatory rigour with commercial awareness
- Comfortable operating in a lean, handsâon environment
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge appropriately
