We are partnering with a leading alternative asset manager seeking a sharp, commercially driven funds lawyer to join a high-performing legal team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of fundraising activity. You will own processes end to end, engage directly with investors and counterparties and have real influence over how they structure and execute their capital formation agenda.
Overview:
- Strategic legal oversight of diverse fund structures across the full lifecycle; fund formation, asset raising and complex transactional matters
- Negotiate LP-side terms, side letters and related fund documents directly with sophisticated institutional investors
- Work closely with IR, investment and platform teams to keep fundraises moving at pace
- Shape house positions and contribute to product development as the platform continues to grow
- Advise on regulatory, structuring and governance matters across multiple strategies and jurisdictions
Experience:
- At least 6 years PQE in alternative asset management or funds law. Previous in-house experience or secondments preferred.
- Familiarity with private market fund mechanics including fund formation
- Commercially minded, execution-focused and confident in negotiation
- Collaborative, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
