About the Role
We are looking for a confident, organised, and creative Marketing Executive (PR & Events) who will play a key role in expanding Avendra's visibility across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. You will help shape how we show up in our markets (hospitality, education, healthcare) through events, PR, editorial outreach, partnerships, and digital channels, and support our teams with high-quality marketing that drives awareness and growth. PR, Events & Association
- Lead PR activity, including press releases, awards, and opinion pieces, securing media coverage, expert commentary, and thought-leadership opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with journalists and industry associations, maximising partnership value.
- Arrange speaking slots across podcasts, webinars, panels, and conferences.
- Manage Avendra's presence at events and exhibitions, from logistics to delivery.
- Track and report on activities to measure impact, demonstrate ROI, and improve future campaigns.
Content & Communications
- Create engaging content for digital channels, social media, email campaigns, case studies, and internal updates.
- Partner with internal teams and suppliers to gather content and tell compelling stories.
- Work closely with the wider European and Global teams.
- Coordinate with 3rd party partners to deliver high-quality outputs.
What You Bring
- 3+ years' experience in marketing, PR, communications, events.
- Strong writing skills & ability to craft engaging content.
- Experience with PR outreach & media engagement.
- Comfortable with digital tools, social platforms, email marketing systems.
- Proactive approach & strong relationship-building skills.
- Experience in securing editorial placements, expert commentary, or speaker slots.
- Familiarity with paid/unpaid media and sponsorship opportunities.
- Experience in hospitality, education, healthcare, or procurement environments.
