Supporting University of Birmingham
At Avendra International, we are looking for a professional, impartial, and efficient Client Procurement Executive to support our strategic partnership with the University of Birmingham. This hybrid role involves both on-site engagement with the University’s Food & Beverage and Operations teams, along with remote working.
The role includes data analysis, report preparation, and contract management to drive operational efficiency and support business growth. Acting as an extension of the University’s internal team, you will contribute to the delivery of strategic purchasing solutions that align with both commercial goals and the specific objectives of the University of Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with the University’s F&B and Operations teams and external suppliers
- Manage procurement queries, invoice checks, and credit chasing
- Support RFQs, tenders, and supplier onboarding in line with project plans
- Conduct price benchmarking and market analysis to inform purchasing decisions
- Maintain supplier price files, SKUs, and procurement system data
- Deliver clear, data-driven reports and insights to support performance reviews
- Provide training on procurement systems and support process improvements
- Collaborate with the Client Procurement Manager to ensure smooth operations
What You Bring
Skills & Experience
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or account management—ideally within the foodservice or hospitality sector
- Proven customer service experience, with the ability to manage queries and build client relationships
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with a data-driven approach
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable with reporting, benchmarking, and analysis
- Knowledge of food markets and supply chain operations (Essential)
