We are partnered with a global leading insurer to recruit a Claims Assistant to join their specialist claims function in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the insurance and claims market, gaining exposure across a broad range of complex and legacy claims classes in a collaborative and highly respected environment.
The successful candidate will join a specialist team responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of claims across multiple business lines including Marine, Aviation, Motor, Property, Professional Liability, Casualty Reinsurance, and more.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for an individual with strong organisational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and an interest in developing within the London Market insurance sector. You will provide day-to-day support to the claims team while gaining hands-on exposure to claims handling processes and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the handling of non-complex claims while developing technical claims knowledge
- Support the production of loss runs and KPI reporting
- Manage diaries, claims closures, and payment processing
- Provide administrative and operational support to the wider claims team
- Help monitor claims allocation and workflow across the department
- Maintain clear and professional communication with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Support ongoing project activity and team objectives
- Assist with data collection and analysis to support performance monitoring
- Attend broker and client meetings in a supporting capacity where appropriate
About You
- Some exposure to insurance or claims handling is desirable
- London Market experience or familiarity with ECF systems would be advantageous, but not essential
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A team player with a willingness to learn and support colleagues
- Comfortable working across multiple classes of business
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Interest in technology and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and analysis is beneficial
