We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading, prestigious, specialist insurer’s UK Business Change team, supporting the delivery of complex strategic projects across the organisation. This is a key role working with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders and third-party system providers to deliver projects from initial planning through to implementation and review.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading large, complex projects within the UK portfolio
- Creating and managing full lifecycle project plans using MS Project
- Chairing Project Working Groups and SteerCo meetings
- Coordinating multiple workstreams, dependencies and resources
- Managing project risks, issues, budgets and third-party suppliers
- Providing clear progress reports to sponsors and senior stakeholders
- Leading business-readiness, communication and implementation planning
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality
We’re looking for someone with:
- A strong track record of delivering complex projects within insurance or financial services
- Experience managing third-party vendors and senior internal stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of waterfall project delivery and MS Project
- Prince2 Practitioner and/or Agile experience
- Strong change management and business-improvement expertise
- Experience leading workshops, SteerCos and working groups
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
- Strong budget management and end-to-end business-readiness experience
