A global specialty insurer are looking to hire into their growing Structured Portfolio Solutions team in London. This is a highly commercial actuarial pricing role focused on specialty case pricing across delegated and structured portfolio business. Sitting directly within the underwriting division, the position offers significantly more exposure to underwriting strategy, portfolio decision-making and broker interaction than a traditional pricing role. The team focus on pricing and managing cross-class portfolios, working closely with underwriters, brokers and coverholders to assess opportunities, monitor portfolio performance and support underwriting strategy across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialty case pricing across delegated and structured portfolio business
- Supporting underwriting strategy and portfolio performance management
- Analysing portfolio exposure, pricing adequacy and business mix
- Working closely with underwriters, brokers and coverholders on new opportunities and renewals
- Developing pricing tools, dashboards and portfolio analytics capabilities
- Supporting the ongoing optimisation and monitoring of structured portfolio solutions
Skills & Experience
- Experience within GI pricing, specialty pricing or London market actuarial roles
- Exposure to case pricing, delegated authority, facilities or portfolio business
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- Comfortable working closely with underwriting teams and external stakeholders
- SQL, VBA and/or strong Excel skills preferred
- FIA qualified or nearly qualified candidates considered
