Overview

Reporting Accountant (Fixed-Term Contract). We’re looking for a qualified accountant to join a growing specialist financial services business on a fixed-term contract, supporting the monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycle. This role is ideal for someone with up to 3 years' post-qualified experience who enjoys a fast-paced, collaborative environment with exposure to group reporting, financial controls, and business partnering.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting monthly and quarterly financial close activities
  • Preparing journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accounting
  • Assisting with group consolidations and financial statement preparation
  • Managing intercompany recharges and settlements
  • Supporting SOX controls, audit requests and compliance activities
  • Preparing management accounts and financial reporting packs
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and capital reporting
  • Supporting accounts payable, expense processing and ad hoc finance projects
  • Working closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider business

Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Up to 3 years' post-qualified experience (insurance/reinsurance experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills and excellent analytical ability
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP Concur or similar ERP systems is advantageous
  • A proactive team player with strong communication and organisational skills
