Overview
Reporting Accountant (Fixed-Term Contract). We’re looking for a qualified accountant to join a growing specialist financial services business on a fixed-term contract, supporting the monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycle. This role is ideal for someone with up to 3 years' post-qualified experience who enjoys a fast-paced, collaborative environment with exposure to group reporting, financial controls, and business partnering.
Responsibilities
- Supporting monthly and quarterly financial close activities
- Preparing journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accounting
- Assisting with group consolidations and financial statement preparation
- Managing intercompany recharges and settlements
- Supporting SOX controls, audit requests and compliance activities
- Preparing management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and capital reporting
- Supporting accounts payable, expense processing and ad hoc finance projects
- Working closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualified
- Up to 3 years' post-qualified experience (insurance/reinsurance experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent analytical ability
- Experience with Oracle, SAP Concur or similar ERP systems is advantageous
- A proactive team player with strong communication and organisational skills
