A leading London Market Marine business is seeking a commercially minded insurance professional to join its Hull War team in a unique role combining underwriting responsibility with portfolio management and strategic influence. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape underwriting strategy, analyse portfolio performance and identify opportunities for profitable growth, while continuing to build market relationships and contribute to the management of an established international portfolio.
In addition to Hull War Underwriters, we are equally interested in speaking with individuals from adjacent disciplines who bring strong analytical capability and a genuine interest in underwriting. This could include professionals from actuarial, catastrophe modelling, exposure management, reinsurance or portfolio management backgrounds who are looking to move closer to underwriting decision-making and broader business leadership.
The Role
- Underwrite Hull War risks in line with agreed appetite and authority.
- Support portfolio strategy, annual planning and performance reviews.
- Monitor KPIs, analyse trends and provide insight to improve results.
- Identify profitable growth opportunities and support new business initiatives.
- Collaborate with actuarial, claims, finance and portfolio stakeholders.
