Our client, a highly regarded international insurance group, is seeking a Legal Counsel (2–3 PQE) to join their lean and collaborative in-house legal team in London. The team supports the business across the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Canada, working on high-value, strategically important matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer looking to gain broad international exposure, work closely with senior stakeholders, and be part of a supportive, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting strategic corporate projects, including M&A.
- Reviewing, negotiating and finalising commercial and insurance-related contracts.
- Advising on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues across multiple jurisdictions.
- Acting as the key point of contact between the business and external counsel globally.
- Analysing the impact of UK and international legislative and regulatory developments.
Candidate Profile
- UK-qualified lawyer with 2–3 years\’ PQE, ideally gained in a regulated industry (insurance experience advantageous but not essential).
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Confident communicator with the ability to advise stakeholders and deliver practical solutions.
- Organised, adaptable and comfortable managing a varied workload.
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused and willing to learn new areas of law.
