Avencia are partnered with a global insurer who are looking to recruit a Claims Operations Technician in their London office.

The team supports claims operations and premium processing for outsourced partners. You\’ll deliver a proactive, flexible service while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and maintaining high standards of data quality and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately input and validate claims data to support reporting and analysis
  • Monitor claims systems and liaise with technical teams to ensure compliance
  • Manage claims notifications, correspondence, and allocation
  • Process payments, reserve adjustments, and other financial transactions
  • Handle bordereaux processing (claims and premium) in line with guidelines
  • Perform reconciliations across claims, premiums, and inter-company accounts
  • Support cashflow management and large payments
  • Produce MI and KPI reports, resolving queries with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with audits, compliance, and governance activities
  • Maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & experience

  • Experience in insurance (claims, operations, technical accounting, or admin)
  • Bordereaux experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
  • Good understanding of insurance terminology
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving ability
