We're working with a London Market insurer to find an Underwriting Operations Analyst to join their Transportation Mining team, with a focus on Aviation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with underwriters and wants to develop their experience in a specialist class. This role will suit someone detail-oriented, proactive, and keen to build their understanding of underwriting processes in a fast-paced environment.
The role involves providing operational support to the underwriting team across the full policy lifecycle, including:
- Working with slips end-to-end, including processing and endorsements
- Encoding risks and maintaining accurate policy data within systems
- Managing a busy mailbox, triaging and prioritising incoming queries
- Producing weekly reports and supporting MI and data analysis
- Liaising closely with underwriters, brokers, actuarial and operations teams
- Investigating and resolving data or processing issues, ensuring high levels of accuracy
Skills and experience
- Essential knowledge of the London Market and underwriting environment
- Experience working with or exposure to slips, or a strong willingness to learn
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
- Proactive, organised
