We're looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Underwriter - Liability Digital Solutions to join our newly established international team. In this role, you'll play a key part in underwriting and trading individual risks within agreed authority limits, aligned with our strategic goals. You'll also support the wider Liability team and contribute to innovation, insights into emerging technologies, and market trends.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Underwrite and trade Liability risks in line with company strategy and underwriting guidelines
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
- Deliver consistently excellent customer and broker service, including global programme management
- Collaborate with Wordings Technicians to review and approve documentation
- Stay ahead of underwriting trends, regulatory developments, and innovations in the industry
- Represent the department in internal forums, committees and projects
- Identify and analyse digital opportunities and new business models in emerging markets
What We're Looking For:
- CII qualified (Diploma Level) or equivalent experience
- Solid knowledge of contract law, insurance, and underwriting practices
- Skilled at assessing risks, developing tailored solutions, and setting terms and premiums
- Confident communicator and team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable negotiating and building relationships with brokers and stakeholders
- Organised, self-motivated and able to manage your workload to meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel internationally to meet with clients and brokers
