We are seeking experienced Energy Underwriters to join a leading Energy team specialising in Upstream and Midstream risks. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-performing underwriting team managing a large lead-market portfolio. Responsibilities
- Underwrite Upstream & Midstream Energy portfolio to ensure profitability and growth.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and broker counterparts.
- Make data-driven underwriting decisions through account assessments and portfolio analysis.
- Monitor aggregates and catastrophe exposure, ensuring accurate data capture and compliance.
- Collaborate efficiently within established workflows to support business objectives.
Skills & experience
- The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with experience in the Energy market.
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, ideally within the Upstream or Midstream Energy sector.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI for portfolio analysis.
- Experience with Catastrophe and Aggregation Management software is advantageous.
- CII qualification (or progress towards it) preferred.
