We are partnering with a highly innovative, technology-enabled hybrid insurer operating across the UK and US markets. This A-rated carrier provides fronting capacity exclusively to MGAs, captives and specialist programme partners, combining underwriting expertise with operational agility to deliver sustainable, data-driven insurance solutions.
As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Underwriter to play a pivotal role in evaluating, onboarding and overseeing underwriting programmes.
The role
You will evaluate, onboard and oversee delegated underwriting programmes, working closely with MGAs and internal stakeholders to ensure sustainable, profitable growth. The business is looking to bolster and expand specific areas of its portfolio. They are open to individuals with strong expertise in the following areas:
- Property

- Casualty / Liability

Key accountabilities
- Assess and onboard new delegated/MGA programme opportunities
- Review underwriting frameworks, pricing and governance standards
- Conduct profitability and exposure analysis
- Oversee programme performance and portfolio metrics
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Finance and Reinsurance teams
- Contribute to capital and reinsurance strategy discussions
- Ensure robust delegated authority oversight and controls and analytics.
Skills & experience
- 5+ years' underwriting or product experience within your specialist class
- Strong MGA / delegated authority knowledge
- Experience working within a carrier, fronting platform or hybrid insurer environment
- Understanding of reinsurance structures (treaty/facultative advantageous)
- Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
- Ability to oversee governance, process and portfolio performance
