We are currently recruiting for an exciting Team Leader opportunity based in Leeds, within our client's London Market Claims function. In this role, you will lead a team of Claims Adjusters who work closely with the London-based claims team and adjusters aligned to specific lines of business. The Leeds team is responsible for handling higher-volume, lower-value claims across a diverse portfolio, including Professional Lines, Financial Lines, and Marine & Energy Liability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Claims Adjusters, providing regular support, coaching and 1-to-1s
- Work closely with the London Market Claims Managers and wider London-based claims team
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of high-volume, low-value London Market claims
- Monitor team performance, workload and claim progress, ensuring service levels are met
- Handle assigned claims from first notification through to settlement
- Ensure accurate updating of internal and London Market claims systems and communicate key developments
- Triage and prioritise claims in line with internal procedures
- Manage relationships and service quality of TPAs, lawyers and loss adjusters
- Build strong internal relationships with adjusters, underwriters and other stakeholders

- A working understanding of the London Market and relevant claims systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts
- A collaborative leadership style, with a desire to bring out the best in individuals and the wider team
- The confidence to take initiative and responsibility for decision-making
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to contribute ideas and drive improvements across the claims function
Desirable
- Experience handling Marine and Energy Liability claims
