This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within insurance, either by starting their underwriting career or by expanding their current experience. Full training will be provided to support your successful transition into the role, and you will play a key part in developing a global portfolio of clients within an innovative and growing team. The opportunity The successful candidate will gain hands-on underwriting experience, covering both risk and facility business, while contributing to the team\’s long-term profitable growth. You\’ll join a motivated and collaborative group at an exciting stage of expansion, with opportunities to influence new approaches in policy development and technology solutions. Key responsibilities Support the development of a profitable portfolio through risk assessment and underwriting. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal teams. Collaborate to solve problems and continuously improve processes, relationships, and systems. Work proactively and independently while contributing to overall team success. Communicate effectively across multiple channels (meetings, calls, emails). Develop and implement plans aligned with broader strategic objectives.Skills & experience Essential: Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commercial mindset. Natural curiosity with the ability to interrogate and interpret data. Strong communication and relationship management skills. High attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data (percentages, ratios, statistics). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.Nice to have: Experience in underwriting, broking, or claims across any specialism.
