Avena Environmental are recruiting for a HGV 2 Driver to join their team based in Coventry. Our ongoing, fast-paced growth plan allows us to offer exciting career opportunities and continual development for our people. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Visiting customers in accordance with routed travel plan
  • Providing excellent customer service and assistance to queries raised at the customer premises
  • In accordance with training, check and empty consoles / bins and transport to van / HGV
  • Always ensure safety and security of both your own wellbeing and the customers goods
  • Completing a waste transfer note as per training and furnishing the client with a duplicate slip following their signature
  • Delivering assets to customers ensuring that delivery notes are completed, and all goods delivered successfully
  • Leaving the customer assets secured correctly and raising any concerns with the team at Head Office via a feedback form
  • Ensuring that time spent travelling adheres to the business Health and Safety training, taking care of the business vehicle allocated to you, driving carefully with consideration to yourself and others on the road and in accordance with legislation
  • On return to the office, making sure that you onload your van contents into the warehouse according to the warehouse processes
  • This role requires national work, with nights away.
  • This role requires the driver to drive a van instead of a HGV at times and work at a local daily work pattern
  • Being responsible for your allocated vehicle and reporting any damage/accidents immediately to your line manager or supervisor
  • Making your supervisor aware of any concerns or opportunities you come across during the day
  • Being focused on security awareness at all times
  • Ensuring that you clock in and clock out on arrival and departure at the depot daily
