Avena is a UK-based industry leader in secure destruction services, specialising in the responsible destruction of documentation, clothing and IT/media hardware. The company offers bespoke solutions, including SECURALL® for GDPR-compliant paper shredding, SECUREBRAND® for secure clothing repurposing and SECURETECH® for secure and audited IT and media hardware destruction. Each service is tailored to meet unique customer needs while providing full audit trails. Avena protects enterprises and brands against data breaches, criminal activities, and intellectual property dilution, while also contributing to sustainability by reducing carbon emissions.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Sales based in the United Kingdom. The Head of Sales will lead the sales team, oversee sales strategies, and achieve business growth targets. The role includes managing key accounts, creating and executing sales plans, analysing market trends, and identifying new business opportunities. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to foster strong client relationships and drive company success.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Sales and Sales Management, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Strong expertise in Account Management and building long-term client relationships
  • Leadership experience with Team Management capabilities and a collaborative approach
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to assess market trends, performance metrics, and sales strategies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in secure destruction or related industries is an advantage
