We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.

Aveley North Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School, situated on Strinesdale Boulevard, Aveley, catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We were established to cater for the significant growth in population in suburbs through the Eastern corridor of Perth, including Aveley, The Vines, Belhus and Ellenbrook, continually addressing the needs and aspirations of our burgeoning community.

The Role: We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated Education Support Teachers to join our endorsed Education Support Program. This is an exciting opportunity for educators who are passionate about improving outcomes for students with diverse learning needs and who bring strong classroom leadership experience in the education support context.
The ideal applicants would be experienced teachers who have successfully led projects such as curriculum and assessment implementation and have displayed their ability to lead classroom and teaching teams. Applicants who have completed classroom leadership training and are able to provide examples of applying leadership knowledge and skills at both the classroom and school level are highly desirable.
The desired applicants will ideally display their:
- Knowledge and application of the Abilities Based Learning and Education WA (ABLEWA) curriculum.
- Capacity to design and implement highly individualised learning programs for students with a wide range of academic, communication, social-emotional, independence and behaviour needs.
- Excellent skills and knowledge in explicit teaching, including the Teaching for Impact framework from the Department of Education WA.
- Strong understanding of effective pedagogy to support differentiated teaching in literacy, numeracy and functional learning contexts.
- Ability to adapt whole school programs/resources for effective implementation in an Education Support Program context.
- Experience in developing, monitoring and reviewing Special Educational Needs (SEN) documented plans, ensuring student goals are targeted, purposeful and achievable.
- Use of a range of assessment tools, including ABLEWA progressions, to monitor student growth, provide targeted feedback, and inform future planning.
- Experience and understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- A strong focus on Kindergarten and Pre-primary teaching, with a commitment to early childhood development and inclusive practices.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students, colleagues, parents and external providers.
- Prior experience working in an Education Support setting, demonstrating excellent classroom leadership.
- A strong commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.
