We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role is ideal for a driven finance professional looking to further develop their expertise within the financial services industry.

As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of the review and finalisation of financial reporting for a portfolio of investment funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and finalising accounting deliverables prepared by trainees and accountants, including daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping.
  • Preparing and reviewing annual and interim financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Managing reporting timelines to ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Performing and reviewing complex reconciliations, accounting adjustments, and technical calculations.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients on operational and reporting matters.
  • Supporting Assistant Managers and Managers during audits, regulatory reviews, and technical assessments.
  • Providing guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior team members.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of investor reporting and capital activity statements.
  • Ensuring full adherence to internal accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

What we’ll look for on your CV:

  • Partly or fully qualified accountant status (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with 2-4+ years’ relevant experience, ideally within accounting or financial services.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., Bob Sage, Geneva, Investran, or similar) is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS reporting standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to support and develop junior colleagues.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a continuous learning approach.
