Your mission

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. The role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in investment or financial services. As a Trainee Accountant, you will assist in the preparation and review of financial reports and statements for investment companies, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Specifically, you will:

  • Assist with the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting including bookkeeping, assistance in the preparation of accounting reports and Annual Accounts.
  • Support the production of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for assigned entities.
  • Reconcile fund cash, assets, investment and share capital positions records.
  • Maintain fund accounting records in accordance with internal controls and procedures.
  • Work with senior accountants and corporate administrators to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
  • Help prepare investor reports and statements.
  • Ensure adherence to fund accounting policies and regulatory standards.

Your profile

  • Degree-level education in an Accounting or Business Studies related degree (preferable).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the financial services industry.
  • Ability to work in a team.
