I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work for a cutting-edge technology company based in Glamorgan. Salary up to £55,000 + Relocation + Benefits.
The organisation has been in operation for many years and are worldwide leaders within the design, development, and manufacture of their highly intelligent products. As a business, they turnover north of £85m, employ 500 people and are constantly evolving their legacy products as well as designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market.
In line with demand for their products and to support the business with their growth plans, they have the need to appoint another Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing products from concept to manufacture. This will involve new product development as well as supporting legacy products with modifications and alterations. This role will involve a lot of problem solving and analysing issues that have or may occur with the products with a view of finding appropriate solutions.
Ideal Requirements:
- 1st of 2.1 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (ideally at least a MSc)
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
- At least 3 years experience in industry
- Solidworks
- Experience design Plastic Injection Moulded components
