We are recruiting for an Electronics Design Manager to work for a cutting‑edge technology company based in Glamorgan. The organisation has been in operation for many years and is a worldwide leader in the design, development, and manufacture of highly intelligent products. It employs around 250 people and continually evolves legacy products while designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market. In line with the business's expansion plans, we need to appoint an Electronics Design Manager on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 10 Engineers – Electronics Design Engineers and Embedded Software Engineers. This will be a hands‑off role; your primary objective is to get the best out of the team, ensuring all projects are completed to a satisfactory standard, on time and in budget, with support from the Programs team. You will use your technical experience to aid problem solving and guide engineers to appropriate solutions. You will spend most of your time on NPD/NPI projects, and you will also support existing products with sustaining activities, obsolescence, and cost‑reduction activities.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience as an Electronics Design Manager, Electronics Manager, Hardware Manager, Embedded Software Manager or similar.
  • Technical background as an Electronics Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Firmware Engineer or similar.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience within a highly regulated industry.
