I am currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to work for a cutting-edge technology company based in Glamorgan, but on a hybrid basis. Salary up to £55,000 + Relocation + Benefits.
The organisation has been in operation for many years and are worldwide leaders within the design, development, and manufacture of their highly intelligent products. As a business they turnover north of £85m, employ 500 people and are constantly evolving their legacy products as well as designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market.
In line with demand for their products and to support the business with their growth plans they have the need to appoint a Supply Chain Manager on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Supply Chain Manager, you will manage 6 direct reports and will be responsible for typical Supply Chain Manager tasks, however this role will place greater emphasis on certain areas. These include managing a major customer via weekly meetings which will involve you understanding their demands for the next 2-weeks and then will involve you doing capacity planning which will include both resource/labour and materials. You will be looking at the SAP MRP system and look at how you improve its usage and ultimately how you can optimise it to get the best out of it. You will be involved in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and ideally own this for the organisation, whilst liaising and updating other senior stakeholders within the business with the information that affects them and their departments. Finally, you will be involved with inventory and putting the necessary rules in place surrounding stock and component availability.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager or similar
- Experience with an ERP system (ideally SAP)
- Experience with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Experience with Inventory
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience within a highly regulated environment (ideally Medical)
- Experience with Far East Suppliers
- Experience with plastic injection moulded components
