Senior Electrical Designer - West Sussex - up to £60,000 + Benefits - REF 2022
I am currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Designer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in West Sussex. The organisation, established over 30 years, employs close to 50 people and has a turnover heading towards £10 million, with clients throughout the UK.
To support the business with its expansion plans and to continue offering first‑class service, they require a Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent basis. You will work in a multi‑disciplined team of nine engineers, responsible for full life‑cycle design from inception to completion. Your role will include drawing up concepts to support the sales team with tenders, interpreting customer requirements, designing electrical circuits, creating wiring diagrams for manufacturing, handling BOMs, and coordinating with purchasing for component procurement. There may also be opportunities to involve in mechanical design of enclosures or liaise with other engineers for that work.
Essential Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar designing electrical circuits
- Experience with Circuit breakers, MCCB, MTAG, and REF
- Experience with an Electrical Design package (Ideally AutoCAD Electrical)
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with Switchgear, Power Systems or Power Distribution
- Experience with Low Voltage (LV) up to 750 Volts
- Solidworks proficiency
