Senior Mechatronics Engineer – Wiltshire – up to £70,000 + Benefits – Ref 1791 I am currently recruiting for a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to work for a fascinating medical device organisation based in Wiltshire. Salary up to £70,000 + Benefits. The organisation operate at the forefront of their market and have a novel medical device product that has taken the market by storm since being commercialised very recently. The organisation employ close to 100 people and have multiple sites across the globe. The primary market for their product is USA, however they do also supply into the UK and Europe. To aid with the expansion plans of this very exciting business, they now have created a completely new role within the business and have the need to appoint a Senior Mechatronics Engineer. In this role as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer, you will be involved in primarily the lower level electronics such as PCB design, schematic capture and layout, aswel as being involved with the digital, analogue and firmware, typically in C. You will however also be involved in the mechanical aspects to ensure that the mechanical components can be configured successfully into the necessary subsystems and subsequent end systems in this instance being the medical devices. You will be liaising with 3rd parties which will include the design houses used for sub contracting to validate and verify any design work they are doing, specially with regards to PCB/A, but also the contract manufacturers ensuring you are advising and guiding them with regards to any component obsolescence issues. Essential Requirements: – At least 3 years commercial experience – Minimum of MEng or MSc in an engineering related subject – Experience with PCB design and schematic capture – Understanding of mechanical components and systems and the abiolity to design and test rigs, jigs and fixtures – Experience with programming Firmware / Embedded Software Desirable Requirements: – PhD – Experience in the medical domain (ISO:13485) This is an incredible opportunity for a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to work for one of the most exciting medical device organisations in the UK, if not worldwide as we speak.
