Mechanical Design Engineer – Coventry – Up to 50,000 + Benefits – Ref 1865
I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work for a key client of mine based in Coventry.
This company works with industry, educational establishments, and the public sector, providing design and installation services to assist clients in becoming more sustainable. They also support a range of sectors with development of low carbon energy projects (renewable energy generation and decarbonisation strategies) to become net zero.
To support the growth of the business and the major upcoming projects they now have the need to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be reporting into the Technical Manager. The role will involve the process design rather than 3D modelling of pipework. This will include pipework detailing, sizing and pump selections. You will also be involved in the design risk assessments and pressure safety assessments.
Ideal Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Mechanical Design Engineer, or similar
- Experience with P&ID’s/Pipework Design
- Heating calculations/pump calculations
- HVAC Design Experience or similar
- 1 year experience working to British Standards for a UK organisation
Beneficial Requirements:
- District Heating/CHP/Energy Centre/Boiler Systems/Heat Pump Design Experience
