I am currently recruiting for a Research Engineer to work for a cutting-edge technology company based in Glamorgan, but on a hybrid basis. Salary up to £55,000 + Relocation + Benefits.
The organisation has been in operation for many years and are worldwide leaders within the design, development, and manufacture of their highly intelligent products. In line with demand for their products and to support the business with their innovation plans, they have the need to appoint another Research Engineer on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Research Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert responsible for researching and developing new technologies and establishing how they could be implemented into my client's highly sophisticated electro-mechanical products. This will involve looking at competitors, as well as emerging trends and technological advancements. The areas of research will be focused around thermal/heat transfer, optics, and electronics, whilst taking into consideration the wider mechanical elements of the products. Any findings will be backed up and validated by raw data following the necessary trials and testing.
- At least 2 years' experience in a Research Engineer, Research & Development Engineer role (or similar) or a PhD in Physics, Electronics or Mechanical
- Experience with thermal analysis/heat transfer
- Experience with electro-mechanical products
