I am currently recruiting an Electronics Design Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Berkshire. The organisation is very well regarded for their engineering excellence and having been established for over 70 years they have a fantastic heritage. They work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of technology, being able to deliver innovative solutions to industry problems and challenges many of their competitors are unable to solve. As a result, they have some of the most highly capable engineers within their business.
To support the growth of the business and in line with current workload they have the need to appoint an Electronics Design Engineer on a permanent basis. In this role as an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing products, taking them through from concept to manufacture. You will be working primarily on digital and analogue electronics for various projects, with the majority being IOT focused. You will be working in a team of other Electronics Design Engineers, but liaising with a multi-disciplined department.
Essential Requirements:
- At least 4 years' experience as an Electronics Design Engineer or similar
- Digital Analogue Experience with Ethernet, UART, I2C, SPI, LINbus or CANbus
- Experience with AC/DC and DC/DC
- Experience with integrating commercial off the shelf electronics into bespoke electronic products and systems
- PCB Design and Schematic capture (ideally Altium)
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with IOT devices
- Security Cleared (SC clearance)
- EMC/EMI
- Experience with Wi-Fi or BLE
- CE certification
- FCC certification
- Experience with IPC2221B or similar PCB design standards
- Experience with RED testing (Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU)
