I am currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in West Sussex. The organisation has a fantastic heritage having been established for over 30 years and they now employ close to 50 people, with a turnover heading towards £10 million. They are deemed experts at what they do and have clients situated throughout the whole of the UK.
To support the business with its expansion plans and in order for them to continue offering a first-class service on the projects they have now and forecast, they have the need to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be working in a multi-disciplined team of 9 engineers and you will be responsible for full life cycle design from inception to completion. This may include drawing up concepts to support the sales team with tenders. Once a project is won, you will interpret the customer requirements, then design the electrical circuits that fulfil what they need, create the wiring diagrams for manufacturing, deal with the BOM's (Bill of Materials) and forward across any information to purchasing who will procure the necessary components and equipment based on your designs. There will be an opportunity to get involved in the Mechanical Design of enclosures for the products should this appeal, but if not, you will be liaising with other engineers who can carry out this task for your projects.
Essential Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar designing electrical circuits
- Experience with an Electrical Design package (Ideally AutoCAD Electrical)
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with Switchgear, Power Systems or Power Distribution
- Experience with Low Voltage (LV) up to 750 Volts
- Solidworks
This is a rare and unique opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking company that boasts fantastic staff retention. They fully support career development and enhancement should this appeal and have a fantastic working culture. This is an immediate requirement, so if you have the required skills and experience please get in touch immediately with an up-to-date copy of your CV.
