AVCON Aviation Consultants is a niche family-run business providing specialised Cargo and Passenger Aircraft Charter solutions worldwide since 1994, and we’re looking to grow the team at our base in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, UK.
Duties of the role:
- Working within and supporting the Charter Sales & Operations team.
- Liaising with existing clients and suppliers to maintain and develop relationships.
- Identify and progress New Business opportunities.
- Evaluate suitable Aircraft types & capacities to provide clients with optimum Charter solutions.
- Preparing Charter Quotations, Job files, Invoicing and Administration functions.
- Researching operational considerations required for a successful Charter Flight.
- Problem solving any issues that arise.
- Travel when required to oversee Charter operations worldwide and visit clients.
Experience / Skills required:
- Work experience in an Aviation, Air Cargo, Logistics or Travel environment is preferable.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills.
- Numerate and grammatically competent with attention to detail.
- A second language would be an advantage but not essential.
Character and personal attributes:
- Proactive, a quick thinker, shows initiative.
- Comfortable working individually and as part of a team.
- Works well under pressure.
- A good work ethic and can be relied on.
- A willingness to learn.
Working Location & Hours:
- Office Hours, Monday to Friday 09:00 – 18:00, with one hour break, or can be adjusted to suit.
- Our business sometimes involves weekend / evening work, which will be compensated for by days.
- Ideally living within a 30-minute commute of Sutton Coldfield.
Training:
For the first six months, you will work closely with a Senior Consultant as your Mentor while you learn on the job. During this time, you’ll familiarise with Aircraft types & capabilities, routes, pricing, administration processes and will periodically attend the preparation for and departure of charter flights to experience first-hand what goes into ensuring our charters operate seamlessly.
Salary and Benefits:
- £23,000 - £26,000 depending on experience, plus commission on new business.
- Statutory Holiday entitlement with review for length of service.
- Contributory Pension scheme.
