Carlyle seeks to hire a Product Specialist in our Global Private Equity Investor Relations Group, based in London. The Product Specialist will be primarily responsible for product coverage of Carlyle’s European Private Equity strategy, comprising Carlyle Europe Partners and Carlyle Europe Technology Partners. The Product Specialist will be tasked with managing fundraising processes, product and strategy development and investor engagement across these strategies.

This role requires regular discussion, interaction and collaboration with Investment Teams, Relationship Managers, Fund Management/Finance, Legal & Compliance and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for European buyout strategies, both internally and externally.

• Drive strategy and product development initiatives.

• Provide market insights on relevant developments, including the competitor landscape.

• Lead the day-to-day execution of full fundraising processes from start to finish, including pre-marketing initiatives.

• Manage project coordination across Relationship Managers, the Investment Team, Fund Management, and Legal/Compliance to ensure successful fund launches in optimal structures for the target investor base.

• Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of investor requests.

• Oversee onsite diligence meetings and related follow-up activities.

• Liaise with prospective investors and collaborate with Relationship Managers, Fund Management, and Legal/Compliance to advance through the closing process, including side letter and legal negotiations.

• Lead the day-to-day execution of investor engagement activities, both in and out of the market.

• Draft content for LP meetings, as well as Carlyle and industry events.

• Support Carlyle’s compliance objectives by coordinating with the Legal and Compliance Department as needed.

Professional Experience

• 7 – 10 years of relevant experience, with at least five of these in Investor Relations role within placement agent, GP or LP

• Knowledge of private equity asset class is advantageous but not essential

• Demonstrates excellent project management skills, being resourceful and collaborative, and working effectively with segment and investment teams.

• Possesses outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact with senior professionals at the firm and external stakeholders.

• Exhibits sophisticated and tactful client management abilities, effectively managing the LP lifecycle.

• Serves as an exemplary role model and manager, capable of delegating tasks and providing support and guidance to the team.

• Communicates strongly and effectively about the product.

• Maintains a strategic sales mindset, identifying opportunities for sophisticated sales.
