Your role and responsibilities:
- As a Client Adoption Specialist, you are responsible for engaging with IBM clients in pursuit of accelerating their deployment of strategic offerings within their production environment, delivering deep technical expertise that leads to successful implementations.
- You will be assigned to work with strategic offerings that include IBM Concert, Watson Code Assistant for Z, and Watson Assistant for Z.
- You will work directly with the end client, planning for and executing implementation plans.
- Collaborate with the assigned IBM account teams as they are responsible for ensuring the right client sponsors and champions are actively involved and upon successful implementation validating key performance measurements have been met.
- Interact with IBM development labs to provide product feedback and engage as needed for product support.
Required education:
- Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise:
- You will have 5+ years of experience in managing two or more of the following areas:
- Operating System administration (Linux, Windows, z/OS)
- TCP/IP network and LDAP administration
- APM solutions on the IBM Z platform
- IBM CICS and/or IMS administration
- Enterprise COBOL development (including reading, writing, modifying, and troubleshooting)
- Java development (encompassing reading, writing, modifying, and troubleshooting)
- Open Telemetry (OTeL)
- Ansible Automation Platform, programming languages commonly used in automation such as REX, JCL, and YAML
- Working with Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models
- Working with Conversational AI and working with VS Code
Preferred technical and professional experience:
- Experience in interoperating COBOL and Java within a z/OS subsystem is considered a valuable bonus.
