On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based 3 days per week in Exeter. A Senior Delivery Manager is accountable for the effective delivery of complex, high-risk products and services. Experience across a range of products and services, throughout the entire product life cycle and have responsibility and accountability as the main point of escalation. SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum, you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ), preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team on Agile and Lean ways of working
- Optimise the delivery flow of teams by removing impediments and actively dealing with the addressing delivery risks
- Lead continual planning process for the team they are working within
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Identify and address issues with regard to team dynamics
- Financial and Commercial management
