The Company Financials team provides our clients with fast and accurate market-moving data such as broker estimates, financial filings, and other datasets that help understand financial performance. Our products leverage intelligence and industry-specific insights, combining financial modeling, industry expertise, data management, and technical skills to derive critical metrics and insights.

We aim to craft a top-tier financial analysis and modeling product, continuously improving through a deep understanding of markets, sectors, and client needs.

What’s the role?

The Company Financials Workflow team seeks a Data Engineer with deep subject matter expertise and technical skills to acquire, validate, store, protect, and model comprehensive financial data accessible across Bloomberg platforms. You will drive workflow strategies, deliver user and technical workflows, and enhance automation pipelines to develop fit-for-purpose Company Financials. Collaboration with Product Data & Technology teams, including Product Managers and Engineers, is essential to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing processes with data to identify workflow opportunities and ensure dataset suitability
• Gathering feedback from users, including clients, vendors, and global teams
• Collaborating with Business/Data Product Managers and Engineering teams to plan roadmaps
• Overseeing development, design, optimization, testing of workflow solutions with subject matter experts
• Implementing solutions using Bloomberg\’s proprietary or open-source stacks
• Maintaining workflow knowledge and communicating updates to stakeholders worldwide
• Monitoring workflows to facilitate incident management and ensure business continuity

Requirements:

*We consider all candidates demonstrating the necessary skills, regardless of years of experience.

• 4+ years of experience in financial/fintech services, including exchanges, market data providers, or financial tech firms
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python in development or production environments
• Experience with high-volume, low-latency ETL pipelines and data lifecycle management
• Knowledge of databases, schemas, modeling, and data formats like PDF, HTML, XBRL, JSON, CSV
• Strong project management skills and a customer-focused approach
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills across departments and regions

Preferred:

• Advanced degree or CDMP certification
• Experience with Bloomberg products, Terminal, and Data Workflows
• Knowledge of statistical methods, Machine Learning, AI, and NLP applications in business
