Description & Requirements
Job Purpose:
Provide quality engineering support and guidance to all areas of the business and act as customer quality engineer for nominated customers.Ensure customer and quality management systems requirements are adhered to.
Main Duties:
- Provide guidance and support to all other areas of the business on all quality and process requirements for individual customers
- Ensure all customer requirements are incorporated into products by ensuring internal documentation fully addresses customer quality and processing requirements
- Determine all acceptable product or process variations and disposition / repair criteria with customer representatives as required
- Generate AS9102, or other customer required first article inspection reports
- Review and disposition non-conforming or questionable material highlighted by QC inspectors or other personnel
- Ensure all customer requirements are incorporated into purchase orders for manufactured items
- Approve product release documentation in accordance with customer requirements
- Ensure customer complaints and rejections are fully investigated and preventative actions are implemented
- Perform First Article Inspections in accordance with contractual requirements
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities
