Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager
Location: Bridgnorth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday, flexible hours

Are you an experienced HSE Manager looking for a new challenge? Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HSE Manager. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will proactively establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices for the production of world-leading innovations.

At Grainger & Worrall, we specialise in producing complex cast and precision-machined solutions for pioneering technologies across diverse industries, including automotive, aerospace, defence, motorsport, and more, highlighting our versatility and commitment to driving future technology development and decarbonising mobility.
About the role: You will be the lead competent person for environment, health and safety, as defined by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, and Environmental Policy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure the group of companies complies with current legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision.
- Support managers to maintain safe and environmentally sound systems, providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support.
- Advise the Board and senior management team on the implications of current and emerging health, safety, environmental and welfare legislation.
- Plan, assist and participate in internal audits and inspections.
- Maintain accident statistics, analyse trends and propose and take remedial action where necessary.
Who we’re looking for: You’ll have a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent qualification and experience of operating in a health, safety and environmental position. It would also be great if you have:
- Experience within a manufacturing/production sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively.
- Ability to travel to site.
